Student Designer Competition 2012

INTRODUCTION

Man is a massive, hungry and demanding consumer of the earth’s resources. The ecological and evolutionary footprints of growing, harvesting, manufacturing, packaging, transporting, and cooking all the food that we consume, as well as the wasteful by products (some in the form of non bio-degradable packaging), is having a massive destructive impact on our planet, and on us as humans.

We simply cannot continue to consume food in this way!
HEALTHY              HEALTHY
Sowing                 Body
Growing               Mind
Harvesting          Spirit
Preparing            Family
Cooking                Children
Eating    Community
Sharing                 Leaders
Repairing             Planet
Recycling             Evolution
Re-using

Healthy architectural design and interior design (and its realisation and by-product) should always aim to improve and solve some of the existing and predicted problems facing a community / city / country.
